Naa Adueley Ashong Clottey has over a decade’s experience in legal practice. She began her career in private legal practice with a focus on litigation and dispute resolution before gaining valuable international experience with Berwin Leighton Paisner (now Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner) and as a Mini Pupil at 4 Stone Buildings, Lincoln’s Inn, London. She later transitioned to in-house practice with the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA), where she played a strategic role in ensuring overall compliance with both Ghanaian and International Law, providing legal advice on multifaceted issues crosscutting procurement, the drafting, negotiation, review and implementation of Complex Contracts as well as a meticulous and efficient Contract Lifecycle and Guarantee Management which resulted in the effective closeout of over two hundred contracts executed towards the implementation of the US$498,200,000.00 Millennium Challenge Compact II (‘the Power Compact”) between the Governments of the United States and Ghana (“GoG”).

She practically employs her experience from advising on construction law and dispute resolution matters and offers valuable insights and advisory services to clients on varied engineering projects, including EPC Contracts. Her expertise also extends to the use of FIDIC contract modules for major construction projects, as well as Small Works contracts. She is also very conversant with navigating procurement rules and guidelines comparable to the World Banks’ Standard Procurement Documents.

Additionally, Naa has invaluable experience in board-related secretarial work and extensive stakeholder management through her involvement with the MiDA Board and countless collaboration with key stakeholders from various International organizations, GoG Ministries, Departments and Agencies. Naa’s multifaceted experience, commitment to excellence and her ability to navigate intricate legal issues, makes her an invaluable asset to our firm where she continues to provide clients with comprehensive legal guidance and solutions.

Naa holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, a qualifying certificate from the Ghana School of Law, and a Master of Laws (LL.M) and Business Certificate from the University of California Berkeley. She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association.
